Doodlebugs and Bean and Berry Spirit Night

Come join us on Thursday, February 9 from 10 am—6 pm for our most unique Spirit Night of 2012.  Visit a few of our newer area establishments for refreshments, or an afternoon of art.   A percentage of sales benefit Eldorado for all purchases during the qualified hours (INCLUDING PURCHASES FOR FUTURE CLASSES AND PARTIES.  MAKE A DATE, TO SAVE A DATE!)

Read-a-thon - It's Back

WE are excited to kick off our 2nd Year of the New Read-a-thon on Monday, January 30.  You will be receiving details in your Friday Folders - so be on the lookout.   The event will run from Jan. 30 for two weeks (the first week...read, read, read!/ and the 2nd week is collection time - final funds to be turned in no later than Feb. 17).  

Prizes will be awarded top readers (overall, grade level, and class)!

Also, consider adding your recommendation to the "Share a Story" board outside the Library.

Please see the "Weekly District Email" send by Patty Brewer on 1/23/12.  There is lots of great information regarding upcoming PEN events including the GLI program scheduled for Superior Elementary Feb. 2,9,16 and 23 @ 6pm.   This is available for the first 15 families ($180 per parent/child combination).

PEN* is hosting a free evening event with Mark Twarogowski on The Secret Life of the Teenage Brain

6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 9th, at Nevin Platt Middle School (6096 Baseline Road, Boulder).

BoxTops Winners

Boxtops:  Congratulations to our Contest Winners!!  

Mr. Alexander's 4th grade class came in 1st place with 1562 boxtops, and has chosen a Donut Party!  While Mr. Ries's class came in 2nd with 1018, and has chosen to celebrate with Ice Cream Sundaes.   Sounds Yummy!  

As a school we collected 12,195 boxtops!  Way to go Eldorado!  

*Please note that Topsicle Tuesdays will return in the Spring....so keep cutting those boxtops!!!
